"I rushed Theta Tau in search of community within engineering, and I found more than I ever imagined. I'm endlessly grateful for the professional guidance that’s helped me discover a long-term career path I’m excited about, the lifelong friends who welcomed me with open arms, and the strong, reliable bonds that have become a support system throughout my degree and beyond. Taking that leap of faith to rush was one of the best decisions I’ve made. If you're feeling overwhelmed in engineering and want to surround yourself with some of the most incredible people, rush Theta Tau!"

Computer Science, Class of 2027
"I initially rushed Theta Tau to find a community of other engineers that I could study with and hang out with. I hadn't realized how many professional and networking opportunities would present themselves after I joined, including both directly through corporate visits and indirectly through receiving advice and guidance from other brothers. It's especially refreshing to now be able to return the favor as an upperclassmen by providing mentorship to newer brothers and helping them navigate the same academic and career challenges I once faced. Being in Theta Tau has been a rewarding and meaningful part of my college experience."
Yohali Bopeya
Computer Science, Class of 2028
"I rushed Theta Tau in hopes of meeting like-minded engineers and strengthening myself professionally. Luckily for me, my experience has been all of that and more! I’ve had the opportunity to expand my understanding of what my future could hold, surrounded by people whose goal is to help one another grow. Whether through professional development events, philanthropy projects for nearby communities, or social gatherings. Being a member of Theta Tau has taught me so much about myself, and I owe it all to the amazing people who have guided me toward becoming my best self, both personally and academically."

"As a freshman, I was looking for organizations that I could be involved in to find a community at Illinois. Theta Tau structures itself by its pillars and has certainly offered me opportunities to be involved professionally, philanthropically, and socially. I have found a great community within Theta Tau and I’m confident it will help me grow into a well-rounded engineer beyond my years at Illinois."
Mike Costa
Material Science and Engineering, Class of 2026
"I rushed TT because I wanted to join a community of like-minded people who shared similar as well as different interests as me. I have met many people who are super awesome, talented, and genuine, all with different backgrounds. I have also learned more about professionalism and career development through mentorship and workshops. If I am ever confused about anything or just bored, I can always reach out to different people and lean on them, which I am super grateful about. People really do it all in TT!!"
Maggie Liu
Bioengineering, Class of 2027
"To me, the best part about being in Theta Tau is meeting so many people that are so willing to help you through your college career. Not only do I feel much more confident in my professional skills, but I also have a huge network of people that I can rely on. Whether it be about study abroad programs, research opportunities, or even which classes to take, being able to learn from other brothers about their experience has been so helpful. Being a part of this community makes being an engineering student so much easier and so much more fun."
